V.A. - Wild West Country Album

Wild Wild West.

Country music is a perennial favorite. To this day, it is one of the most popular genres of all.  It all started in the USA at the beginning of the 20th century. European immigrants, especially from Ireland and England, mixed elements of their folk music with blues influences. The lyrics are direct and often refer to American living conditions, describe personal experiences, comment on current events and are not infrequently humorous. The US radio show Grand Ole Opry is considered the cradle of the genre. Since 1925, the radio show has broadcast weekly country music concerts from Nashville to this day, making it one of the longest-lived programs in radio history.  During this long period, many artists have become icons of the scene. The really big names gather with their evergreens on this compilation. Howdy Ho!
